Course Structure & Prerequisites

The Tax Learning Center course structure is crafted with new and growing professionals in mind.  Our programs are designed with a holistic approach to learning about United States federal tax, tax planning for clients, and tax practice management.  Our tiered educational approach is beginner-friendly with no need for prerequisites.

Self-Study with Mentorship

Our bundled courses are a hybrid of self-study and mentorship.  You will learn at your own pace by watching our on-demand webinars and working through the provided course workbooks.  You will receive email reminders over the course of about two months to keep on track and make the most of your purchase.  Bundle and membership purchasers will have access to community forums to ask questions and seek guidance as you work through the program and apply your learning to real-world cases.

On-Demand Webinars

CE credits are available for on demand webinars once you have passed a test with a minimum score of 70% and completed 100% of the course.  The test must be completed within 1 (one) year of the date of purchase for that webinar to qualify for CE.

Live Events

Live Events are informal in nature and typically will not qualify for CE, but the learning that comes from informal settings is always invaluable.  Watch Parties are one-time events that occur with the release of a new topic-themed program release and are not archived for replay.  Ask the Speakers sessions are one-time live events that occur about two months after the release of a new program, but they are archived for replay and included with your course bundle.

Certificates and CE

You should have access to your certificate immediately upon course completion.  Certificates can be found in your student dashboard and within the course.  If the CE you earned doesn’t appear in your IRS PTIN account, send an email toTara Hendrickson [email protected] with the name of the webinar and the completion date so she can investigate on your behalf.

  • How am I billed?
Individual courses and bundles are one-time payments.  Memberships are charged monthly at the current membership rate.

  • What if I buy a course or bundle and then want to upgrade to Membership?
You can upgrade to membership at any time.  However, we do not offer refunds or prorated discounts for previously purchased courses or bundles.

  • How do I cancel my membership?
You can easily cancel your membership subscription at any time.  Go to My Account>Billing and cancel directly from your dashboard - no hassle, no hoops.
